The operation utilizes a fleet of ten excavators ranging in size from 80T to 35T for gypsum loading, and mine development. The gypsum ore is hauled to processing plant by five Komatsu 40T Dump Trucks. The business is investing in four 40T Articulated Dumpers to improve efficiency of Mine Development.
The Processing Plant, has the largest capacity (550T/hr) and produces the widest range of gypsum products in Oman. Coupled with own transport fleet, Kunooz Gypsum can meet customer requests on time and to specification.
Kunooz Gypsum Port Loading operation offers highest Loading Rate for gypsum from Salalah Port.
The 550T/hr processing plant is located centrally within lease area equidistant to the mining areas. The processing plant incorporates a Primary Crusher rated at 1000T/hr (+20-1000mm), a secondary Sandvik cone crusher (-250mm) and a Secondary Trio cone crusher (+250mm).
The plant comprises two circuits
- Circuit 1 – 300T/hr crushing and screening capacity
- Circuit 2 – 250T/hr crushing and screening capacity
- Giving a combined capacity of 550T/hr
The Plant Design incorporating recycling enables the business to meet all customer product requirement and fully align production and sales.
